Through this time, I recorded the minutia of life in these places and extraordinarily vast landscapes, changing gradually with the miles and reflected within communities there. These images serve as the visual memory of a trip which explored places such as the desolate but blossoming Butte MT, a calf-cow ranch in the Bear Tooth Mountains, the Idaho Panhandle, and Oregon's high desert and rain-forests. In a way, these images also serve as a love-letter to the distant and foreign places which have inspired photographers since the inception of the art.
